Woodstock Turns 40!

Woodstock, New York; August 15-18, 1969: A very short three days 40 years ago of peace and music, youth and energy, excitement, spontaneity – and history! Three days that revolutionized live music forever, and not only for the Woodstock generation or the 500,000 fans attending. Amazingly, the same music resonates strongly with each new generation that comes along. We thought we would take you back in time with a couple of items that are hitting stores today in remembrance of Woodstock.

The Woodstock Experience Limited Edition Box Set
Each artist included in this collection gave their greatest performance ever during that rain and mud-splattered weekend of ecstasy. This set captures the 1969 magic of Santana, Janis Joplin, Sly and The Family Stone, Johnny Winter and Jefferson Airplane. It includes ten CDs, six posters (including the Original Woodstock Poster), 25 previously unreleased tracks, and rare photos -- and it captures The Woodstock Experience!

The Woodstock Story Book
Forty years ago this summer, Barry Z Levine chronicled the most famous hippie event ever and was the official photographer for the Academy Award-winning documentary, Woodstock. Levine’s never-before-seen  photographs in The Woodstock Story Book are personal time capsules that give you amazing access to Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jerry Garcia, the Who, Joe Cocker, Jefferson Airplane, Joan Baez, The Band, Sly and the Family Stone, John Sebastian, Ten Years After, The Incredible String Band, Tim Hardin, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young -- and the spellbound audience of more than 500,000. The Woodstock Story Book is an exciting scrapbook of intimate memories for the millions who lived it (even if it was only in spirit) and the millions who have been influenced by it. It is the consummate coffee table book for every generation.
