IngenuiTEA - It's Genius!

Because tea and devoted tea drinkers have been around for more than 2,000 years, you might think there couldn’t possibly be anything new in that department. Well, you’d be so very wrong. We recently discovered an innovative brewing tool called IngenuiTEA from Adagio Teas that will knock your Oolong on its chai!

The IngenuiTEA is a 16 oz. teapot with a lid. You place loose tea and boiling water into the IngenuiTEA and let the tea float around and steep. When the steeping is complete, lift the IngenuiTEA from the included coaster and place it on your teacup. The pressure of cup against the bottom of the IngenuiTEA pushes up a small valve in the base. The brewed tea is released down into the cup and will stop once you lift the pot, so you never have to worry about spilling hot tea as you pour. A mesh filter keeps the loose leaves in the bottom of the IngenuiTEA. The convenience is enormous when you're only brewing a cup or two of tea at a time.

Once you've enjoyed the fresh taste of your loose-leaf tea from your IngenuiTEA, you will never want to bother with pre-bagged tea again. Lightweight and sturdy, it’s perfect for use in the office, while traveling or at home. To make cleanup as easy as brewing, this great find is dishwasher safe.

And when your IngenuiTEA arrives, you’ll probably wish you had a lovely sampler of Adagio teas as a sweet complement to this teapot.  For a mere $8, four flavors (Black mango, White peach, Apricot green and Raspberry patch) of delicious and aromatic gourmet loose leaf teas can be delivered to you as well.

TEA TIP: Experts tell us that we should use boiling water for black tea, but for more delicate green or white tea, let the water cool for a few minutes. A lot of flavor is lost by pouring boiling water on white or green tea.
