Because tea and devoted tea drinkers have been around for more than 2,000 years, you might think there couldn’t possibly be anything new in that department. Well, you’d be so very wrong. We recently discovered an innovative brewing tool called IngenuiTEA from Adagio Teas that will knock your Oolong on its chai!
The IngenuiTEA is a 16 oz. teapot with a lid. You place loose tea and boiling water into the IngenuiTEA and let the tea float around and steep. When the steeping is complete, lift the IngenuiTEA from the included coaster and place it on your teacup. The pressure of cup against the bottom of the IngenuiTEA pushes up a small valve in the base. The brewed tea is released down into the cup and will stop once you lift the pot, so you never have to worry about spilling hot tea as you pour. A mesh filter keeps the loose leaves in the bottom of the IngenuiTEA. The convenience is enormous when you're only brewing a cup or two of tea at a time.

Do you ever wonder why you are busting your hump to save our planet every time you take out your trash in a giant plastic garbage bag (you know, the ones that could survive a nuclear explosion - along with cockroaches and styrofoam)? If so, we have a great product that is perfect for the eco-warrior - the all-new Perf Go Green line of trash bags. Perf Go Green has perfected the formula of combining post-consumer and post-industrial plastic with an additive that breaks the bags down into water, carbon dioxide and biomass within two years. And if you thought it couldn't get better, try this - according to the company, no harmful toxins are released in the manufacturing process.
Currently, you can get Perf Go Green bags in a variety of sizes including 13-gallon kitchen bags, 30-gallon lawn bags and even kitty litter and doggie duty bags. The bags are also FDA food-contact compliant, and Perf Go Green will launch food storage and checkout bags early next year. The company is not content to keep this confined to a cottage industry. One of their key strategies is to get hotels and hospitals to make the change to a green plastics platform (the Grand Hyatt New York and Health Networks are already converts). So get Perf Go Green for your trash cans and keep fighting the good fight for our planet! |

You aren’t waiting for Jack to start nesting – and neither are millions of other women. According to The National Association of Realtors, single women make up 22 percent of the U.S. real-estate market.
So how will you hang all photographs of you bungee jumping off that cliff in New Zealand, measure the space for your new plush coach, and assemble your coffee table in your new condo? With your new tool kit! Sorry ladies, the day you take out a mortgage is the day you stop calling your fix it guy any time you see the words “assembly required.” And you’ll want to start assembling and fixing (and perhaps building) when you get your hands on the Think Pink Tool Set. The tool set comes with everything you need – pliers, 5 combination wrenches, a utility blade, nails, screws, and a tape measure. But what the heck is a 5 combination wrench? We aren’t going to leave you in the lurch. Go visit Tool Girls. They’ll help you decipher terms like dry wall and reciprocating saw with a fine-toothed blade. Tool Girls is an online community where women can ask questions about all things tool-related. Their only disclaimer is: “We’re not here to show you how to do every project – we’re here to show you that you CAN do every project.” That sure sounds better than “Where’s Jack?” |
If you are like the vast majority of the staff here at Good Stuff, the only time you think to water your plants is when they are so wilted they resemble a mop, and they seem to be looking at you saying “Hey, can you possibly throw that last drink of your bottled water on me before I wither away?” Well, we have found a new favorite gadget (and apparently our plants like it too!): The Aqua Globe, a unique self-watering system that will virtually eliminate “dead plant guilt” from your life. You simply fill the hand-blown glass Aqua Globe up with water and insert it into the soil surrounding your plant. It doles out nourishment to plants only as they need it. So not only do they thrive, but you don’t have to worry about drowning the poor things to compensate for almost killing them. And the best part is that you only need to re-fill the Aqua Globe once every two weeks. Come on, even serial plant killers can handle that! |
