DVD Pick - Get Taken...

We have a new DVD to recommend....and boy is it a nail-biter! In the thriller Taken, Liam Neeson plays Bryan Mills, an ex-government operative who must use "a particular set of skills" to rescue his kidnapped American daughter in Paris. The audience might wonder exactly how he’s used these skills in the past, but all we really care about is how he applies them in finding daughter before a timer runs out on her life.

Bryan's smarts are used to piece together clues that lead him from one location to another. He has clever new tricks up his sleeve when the trail appears to have run cold -- adding more suspense to the chase. He is quick and lethal, as you might expect from someone with 30 years of secret government training, and he ruthlessly does whatever he must in order to save his daughter. No remorse, no second-thoughts and no forgiveness. Just when you wonder whether or not Bryan will step over a moral line, he jumps over it -- and never looks back. Trust us, there is plenty of vengeance in this man’s blood, and he still knows how to throw a good karate chop!
